Zoë Tomlinson BSc. MSc.
Archaeological Finds Specialist and Community Archaeologist.

I am a professional archaeologist specialising in the recording and reporting of Ceramic Building Material, Roman Painted Plaster and Archaeological Finds. I currently work on material from a number of commercial archaeology units, such as Network Archaeology Ltd, Allen Archaeology Ltd and PCAS Archaeology Ltd. I work to high professional standards and am aware of the relevant guidelines for Lincolnshire and the East Midlands.
I have been employed at Bishop Grosseteste University over the past ten years in various roles including Finds Specialist, Community Archaeologist and as a Visiting Tutor. I also work as a community archaeologist in particular managing projects and helping members of the community to record and understand their finds. Much of my work focuses on the teaching of skills to community groups. I have initiated projects such as archaeology camps and clubs for children and understand the value of social media to heritage. As part of my work I am experienced in managing projects, budgets and supervising staff. During my career I have worked for large organisations such as the Museum of London and the University of London. I studied archaeology at UCL and I also have a Masters degree. I am currently a research student at the University of Leicester focussing on the Roman Painted Plaster in the East Midlands and am one of the directors of the community interest company Banks Newton Heritage.

I am always happy to discuss new projects and to give advice.
